CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Tyler Whatley had the tying and go-ahead baskets in the final two minutes for Wofford in an 80-76 win over The Citadel on Saturday.
Whatley's three-point play with 1:32 left tied the game. He then put Wofford ahead to stay with another layup with 1:02 left. Shane Nichols' two free throws with nine seconds left put it away.
Austin Dahn had 16 points for The Citadel (5-12, 0-8), which went on a 13-2 run to start the second half. The Bulldogs, who hit 13 of 21 3-pointers, hit consecutive 3s to take a 72-68 lead with 2:07 left.
Wofford, which committed only eight turnovers, snapped a four-game conference losing streak.
Zach Urbanas had 13 points and seven assists and Cameron Wells scored 13 points for The Citadel, which was outrebounded 29-26.
