SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) -- Justin Reynolds scored 17 points to help lead Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to an 82-69 victory over Texas State on Thursday night.
All five of the Islanders' starters scored in double figures.
Chris Daniels had 15 points and
Kevin Perkins added 14.
William Bullard scored 12 points and
Horace Bond had 11. Only three other Islanders had any points.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (5-12, 2-2 Southland) used a 12-4 run early in the second half to open up a 20-point lead at 49-29 with 12:43 left.
Brandon Bush scored 19 points, including 14 in the second half for Texas State (9-9, 2-3).
Brent Benson came off the bench to score 17 for the Bobcats.
The Islanders shot 56 percent from the field while Texas State shot 31 percent.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi outrebounded Texas State 45-31.
