LORETTO, Pa. (AP) -- Bassirou Dieng's 14-foot jumper with 3.9 seconds to go lifted St. Francis, Pa., to a 73-72 win over Central Connecticut State on Saturday.
St. Francis (5-15, 3-6 Northeast Conference) led 71-69 before Tristan Blackwood hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds left to put Central Connecticut (9-12, 5-5) up by one.
After a timeout and foul by the Blue Devils, the Red Flash inbounded on their side of the court with 8.6 seconds left. Steve Profeta passed it in to Dieng, and the 6-foot-9 center buried a fadeaway jumper from just inside the free-throw line.
Central Connecticut State raced upcourt, but Blackwood missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
