SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Junior Salters scored a career-high 26 points to lead Wofford past Western Carolina 83-73 on Saturday night.
Tim Johnson had 17 points,
Drew Gibson added 14 points and
Matt Estep finished with 13 for the Terriers (11-8, 4-5 Southern Conference), who shot 71 percent in the second half and 60 percent overall in winning their third straight since losing three in a row.
Salters, who was 8 of 12 shooting, surpassed his previous high of 20 set last season at Clemson.
Brandon Giles scored 24 points -- his second straight 20-point game -- for Western Carolina (6-13, 2-7).
Negus McKenna added 19 points and
Arnold Gore finished with 10 for the Catamounts, who shot 57 percent in the first half, led 43-36 at halftime but made just 34.5 percent of its attempts after the break.
Western Carolina was denied its first consecutive victories of the season and its first road victory in 2007-08.
