BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) -- Joe Jakubowski's layup put Bowling Green ahead with 1:15 remaining, and a steal and a dunk by Nate Miller in the game's closing seconds ensured a 63-59 win for the Falcons over Northern Illinois on Sunday.
Bowling Green (9-9, 4-2 Mid-American) held a 49-42 lead with 11:26 to play. But Sean Smith made a jumper and then Darion Anderson converted a steal with a layup to kick off a 10-2 rally that put Northern Illinois (5-13, 2-4) in front by one.
That was the first of six lead changes over the game's final eight minutes. Jakubowski's layup gave the Falcons their final lead, and he added to that with a free throw with 19 seconds left.
Northern Illinois had a chance to even the game just before time expired, but Miller's steal and dunk sealed it.
Anderson scored 18 points and Egan Grafel had 11 for Northern Illinois.
