ATHENS, Ohio (AP) -- Leon Williams scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds to lead Ohio to a 62-47 win over Central Michigan on Tuesday night.
With the game tied 28-28 at halftime,
Michael Allen opened the second half with a layup to spark a 22-10 run that gave the Bobcats a 50-38 lead with 6:27 remaining. The Chippewas never recovered.
Bert Whittington IV scored 13 points and
Jerome Tillman scored 11 for Ohio (14-6, 5-2 Mid-American). The Bobcats, who have won four straight, shot 50 percent (13 of 26) during their second-half surge.
Giordan Watson scored 18 points to lead Central Michigan (8-11, 3-4).
Robbie Harman added 11.
