Brown 77, Dartmouth 51

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Mark McAndrew scored a season-high 25 points and Brown shot a torrid 63.6 percent from the floor as the Bears routed Dartmouth 77-51 Friday night.

McAndrew, the Ivy League's second-leading scorer, connected on 8 of 10 overall shots, including 3 of 3 from 3-point range and was 8-for-8 at the free throw line.

The margin of victory was Brown's largest over the Big Green (8-11, 1-4) since a 102-73 win during the 1990-91 season. Brown, which has won three of its last four games, connected on 28-of-44 shots and led from beginning to end.

The Bears (11-8, 3-2) held Dartmouth's Alex Barnett, the Ivy League's scoring leader, to 10 points, 6.9 below his season average. Barnett was the only player to reach double figures for the Big Green as Brown scored 25 points off 19 Dartmouth turnovers.

McAndrew scored 16 points as Brown shot an even 70 percent (14-20) in the first half to lead 37-23 at the break.

Dartmouth never got closer than 21 points in its third straight loss as Brown coach Craig Robinson started emptying his bench with about eight minutes remaining.
