FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- John Ashworth's only basket of the game, a 3-pointer with 1:27 left, capped a 14-0 run down the stretch and lifted IUPUI to a 69-67 Summit League men's basketball win over North Dakota State University on Saturday.
IUPUI (19-5, 11-2) trailed 36-30 at the half. But the Jaguars shot 51 percent in the second half and slowly chipped away at the Bison lead. With 5:37 remaining, the Bison led 67-55, but IUPUI scored the last 14 points of the game.
Ben Woodside, who led the Bison (12-12, 6-7) with 24 points, missed three 3-point attempts in the final 50 seconds. Woodside made six of 11 3-point shots.
IUPUI's George Hill led all scorers with 33 points. He was 9-for-14 from the field. Hill was even better from the line, going 14-for-17.
The Jaguars outscored the Bison 18-7 from the line.
Billy Pettiford had 12 points for IUPUI.
Mike Nelson scored 21 points and Brett Winkelmann added 14 for NDSU.
