DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) -- Stephen Curry scored 30 points and Davidson extended its winning streak to 16 games with a 75-66 victory over UNC Greensboro on Tuesday.
Curry hit 6 of 9 3-pointers in his seventh game of 30 or more points this season. Andrew Lovedale added 14 points for Davidson (20-6, 18-0 Southern Conference), which shot 57 percent and never trailed, yet struggled to put away the Spartans (14-11, 8-8).
Kyle Hines had 18 points and 11 rebounds for UNC Greensboro, extending his nation-best streak of double-figure scoring games to 75. But Hines shot 7-for-20 and the Spartans committed 23 turnovers in their fifth loss in six games.
Curry hit three 3-pointers and had a reverse layup in a 15-0 run bridging both halves that put Davidson ahead 49-29.
Hines then had two three-point plays in a 15-2 run that got the Spartans within six points.
Curry responded with two more 3s and Davidson hung on for its second win over UNC Greensboro in a week to keep its hopes alive of a second unbeaten conference record in four years.
Mikko Koivisto hit four 3s and scored 12 points for UNC Greensboro.
