HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) -- Bryan Geffen hit a long 3-pointer with 2 seconds left to lift Quinnipiac to a 62-60 win over Monmouth on Thursday night.

Geffen's 25-footer came after Monmouth hit consecutive 3s to take the lead with 11 seconds left.

Karl Anderson, Evann Baker and Justin Rutty all scored 11 points for the Bobcats (14-12, 10-5 Northeast Conference). Louis Brookins led Quinnipiac with eight rebounds.

James Hett led the Hawks (6-21, 3-12) with 19 points. Yaniv Simpson and Alex Nunner both scored 14 points. Dutch Gaitley led Monmouth with seven rebounds.

The Bobcats played without leading scorer DeMario Anderson (personal reasons), who leads the conference in scoring at 21.3 points a game.
