DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) -- Jason Richards scored 24 points and Davidson extended the longest winning streak in Division I to 18 games with a 68-55 victory against Appalachian State on Wednesday night.

Stephen Curry added 17 points for the Wildcats (22-6, 19-0 Southern Conference), who never trailed, led by 17 and turned 19 Mountaineer turnovers into 21 points.

Donte Minter scored 19 points and Ryann Abraham added 15 for Appalachian State (17-12, 12-7), which shot 50 percent but only attempted 42 shots -- 26 fewer than Davidson did.

Richards, a senior, reached the 1,000-point mark for his career in his final game at Belk Arena.

Davidson outscored Appalachian State 32-22 in the paint and didn't allow the Mountaineers to score any fast-break points.
