FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- Tristan Blackwood scored a game-high 32 points on 11-of-14 shooting to lead Central Connecticut past Sacred Heart, 100-87, in the regular season's final game Sunday.

Ken Horton added 17 points and nine rebounds, while Marcus Palmer added 24 points for the Blue Devils (14-15, 10-8).

The Pioneers (16-13, 13-5) led marginally early on, but Blackwood converted on a 3-pointer with 0:53 to go in the first and put Central Connecticut in front 44-43, and for good.

Blackwood gave the Blue Devils their first double-digit lead with a lay-up 4:27 into the second and with 9:02 left, Palmer hit a 3-pointer to give them a 75-60 advantage.

Brice Brooks paced the Pioneers' offense with 19 points, and Corey Hassan contributed 16 off the bench. Drew Shubik had eight assists but was just 3-of-10 from the floor.

Central Connecticut shot 0.661 from the floor and out-rebounded Sacred Heart, 39-26.

The third-seeded Pioneers will host the sixth-seeded Blue Devils again on Thursday for the first round of the Northeast Conference tournament playoffs.
