Freshman John Shurna had 17 points and a game-high nine rebounds and three blocked shots for Northwestern (2-0). Craig Moore added 14 points for the Wildcats.Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (1-2) led early, but Northwestern went on a 22-4 run to take a 25-11 lead with 8:41 left in the first half.
