GREENVILLE, N.C -- James Legan scored 24 points to lead East Carolina to an 86-65 win over Campbell on Wednesday night.
Legan was 6-for-12 from 3-point range and Brock Young added 18 points for the Pirates (3-0), who had four starters in double figures. Young also had six assist, and Sam Hinnant added 16 points and a game-high seven assists.
East Carolina shot 42.4 percent for the field (25 of 59) for the game compared to a 34.5 mark (19 of 55) for Campbell. The Pirates forced 19 turnovers, hit eight 3-pointers and tallied five blocks against the Fighting Camels en route to victory.
