Savannah, Ga. -- Chris Linton led Savannah State with 16 points in a 54-44 win against New Orleans on Saturday.
The Privateers (4-0) trailed 27-20 at halftime before having a big second half for the win.
Savannah State, who shot just 25 percent (7 of 28) in the first half, connected on 50 percent (13 of 26) in the second.
While the Privateers were heating up in the second half, New Orleans struggled to score. The Tigers (0-3) had only 17 points in the second half on 6-for-22 shooting. The Tigers also committed a total of 24 turnovers leading to 23 Savannah State points.
Rashad Hassan pitched in 12 points for the Privateers.
