POCATELLO, Idaho -- Donovan Morris scored 14 of his 24 points in the second overtime as Long Beach State beat Idaho State 88-82 Tuesday night.
It was the third straight overtime game for the Bengals (1-3) and the second straight overtime contest for the 49ers (2-2).
Morris sent the game into the first overtime with two free throws, tying the score at 63 with 24 seconds left in regulation.
After the first overtime ended at 69, Morris scored the first five points of the second overtime -- on a jump shot and a 3-pointer -- to put Long Beach State ahead to stay.
Stephan Gilling had 18 points for the 49ers. For Idaho State, 7-foot center Deividas Busma had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Amorrow Morgan scored 20 points and Demetrius Monroe added 13 points and 14 rebounds.
