DENTON, Texas -- Collin Dennis hit two free throws in the final 30 seconds Wednesday night to give North Texas an 84-82 victory over Jackson State.
Jackson State tied the game at 82-82 on a layup by Darrion Griffin with 56 seconds left. Dennis made one of two free throws with 33 seconds left. He grabbed the rebound after Griffin missed a jumper and was fouled by De'Suan Dixon. Dennis missed the first of the free throws but sank the second with three seconds left.
North Texas led 43-40 at the half. The game was tied 16 times.
