HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Eugene Harris' 20 points led five players in double figures for High Point in its 100-50 win against Montreat on Friday night.
Nick Barbour scored 17, David Campbell had 15, Earnest Bridges added 12 and Alquan Mendenhall tallied 11 for the Panthers (2-3). High Point shot 53.5 percent (38 of 71) from the field for the game, and led Montreat (3-6) 52-20 at halftime. Barbour was 3-for-5 from behind the arc.
M.J. Njoku led the Calvaliers with 17 points, and Matt Johnson scored eight points while going 2-for-6 from behind the 3-point line. Montreat shot 35.4 percent (17 of 48) in the loss.
High Point outrebounded Montreat 46-27, and capitalized on 25 turnovers by the Cavaliers.
