NORMAL, Ill. -- Anatoly Bose had a double-double with 21 points, including five 3-pointers, and ten rebounds to lead Nicholls State to a 67-61 victory over Winston-Salem State in the World Vision Invitational on Sunday.
Ryan Bathie had 18 points for Nicholls State (2-3) and Kellan Carter added 11 points. The Colonels didn't earn any rebounds or points off their bench. They shot 59 percent from the field for the game.Jamal Durham led a winless Winston-Salem (0-6)with 22 points. Brandon Hobbs and Jamar Slocum came off the bench to contribute eight points apiece. Overall, Winston-Salem had 17 points from its bench. The Rams shot 47.8 percent from the field.The Rams led 32-25 going into the break but were outplayed by the Colonels in the second period. Nicholls State came back to score 42 points in the second half to Winston-Salem's 29.
