SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Jovonni Shuler scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half and Savannah State rallied to defeat Bowling Green 57-54 on Monday night.

The Tigers (5-2) trailed 35-14 after making only 5 of 24 shots in the first half, then chipped away at the Falcons' lead in the second by making 53.6 percent of their shots (15 of 28).

Shuler hit three 3-pointers in quick succession, then had a pair of layups to pull Savannah State within three at 52-49 with 3:05 left. Chris Linton's layup cut the lead to one point, then Rod Mitchell's dunk put the Tigers ahead 53-52 with 1:17 remaining.

Bowling Green (3-3) suffered from poor second-half shooting, making only 6 of 22 field goals and 11 of 20 free throws.

Nate Miller had 12 points for Bowling Green and Chris Knight had 10 rebounds.

Anthony Jones added 11 points for the Tigers and Raye Bailey had 10.
