DOVER, Del. -- Frisco Sandidge had a game-high 20 points as Delaware State defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore 59-48 on Thursday night.
Sandidge missed just one shot form the field (7 of 8) and grabbed eight rebounds for the Hornets (2-9, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Conference). Delaware State outrebounded the Hawks (0-5, 0-1) 33-25. Along with Sandidge, Marcus Neal and Arturo Dubois also tallied eight rebounds apiece.Neal scored 11 points and Dubois added 11 for the Hornets.Marc Davis and Tyler Hines led Maryland-Eastern Shore with 15 and 10 points, respectively.The Hawks shot just 32 percent (16 of 50), while Delaware State was 21-for-44 from the field.
