    HAMPTON, Va. -- Jawan Carter scored 21 of his 23 points in the second half to help Delaware snap a four-game losing streak with a 75-66 win over Hampton on Tuesday night.

    Three other players also scored in double figures for the Blue Hens (3-6). Alphonso Dawson had 21 points, followed by Brian Johnson with 14 and Marc Egerson with 10.

    Christopher Tolson scored 18 points for the Pirates (5-4), who lost only their third game in their past 15 home games.

    Vincent Simpson added 15 points for Hampton and Michael Freeman chipped in 12.

    Dawson scored 12 of his points en route to a 32-27 Delaware halftime lead.

    The Blue Hens, who had struggled from the 3-point line in their previous four games, shot 40 percent from behind the arc (8 of 20). Delaware also held the Pirates to 35.3 percent shooting from the field (24 of 68).
