PULLMAN, Wash. -- For more than 20 minutes, Washington State imposed its slowdown style on No. 4 Gonzaga and trailed by just one point.Then Josh Heytvelt scored 11 points as Gonzaga went on a 27-2 run over a 10-minute span and coasted to a 74-52 victory Wednesday night.
• The Bulldogs opened the second half with a 25-4 run, including 15 straight in the first five minutes, as Gonzaga snapped a two-game losing streak against the Cougars and improved to 7-0 overall for the first time since 1994-95.
• All three of Washington State's losses this season have been to ranked teams as they fall to 1-73 all-time vs. teams ranked in the top five.
• The Cougars, who lost to Baylor in their last home game, have now lost back-to-back nonconference games at home for the first time since they lost to Wisconsin and Nebraska in December 1985.
