OXFORD, Ohio -- Michael Bramos scored 28 points, going 6-of-9 from behind the 3-point arc, to lead Miami of Ohio to a 62-50 victory over Valparaiso on Saturday.

Eric Pollitz added 11 for the RedHawks (6-3).

Michael Rogers and Jake Diebler had 10 apiece for Valparaiso (3-6).

Miami took the lead for good at 6-4 after less than 2 minutes, but led only 29-26 at the half.

Valparaiso cut that to 1 twice early in the second half, both times on a layup by Rogers. But a jumper by Tyler Dierkers started a 10-3 run that included a pair of 3-pointers and a jumper by Bramos as Miami pulled away.

A 3-pointer by Bramos gave Miami its biggest lead at 60-47 with 2:23 to play.
