Hummel held to six points, but Johnson has 21 points and nine boards
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- With two of its top players injured and the leading scorer having an off shooting night, Purdue (No. 15 ESPN/USA Today, No. 10 AP) took advantage of its depth in a 70-55 victory over IPFW on Monday.JaJuan Johnson had career highs of 21 points and nine rebounds to help the Boilermakers (10-2) to their fifth straight win. The 6-foot-10 forward was 10-of-14 from the field and had three blocks.
• JaJuan Johnson (career-high 21 points) picks up the slack for the Boilermakers as Robbie Hummel scores a season-low six points on 3-for-10 shooting.
• Purdue has now won five straight after a two-game losing streak. It is 29-2 against nonconference foes at Mackey Arena under Matt Painter.
