FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Stefan Welsh scored a career-high 27 points and Arkansas took advantage of 29 turnovers to cruise to a 95-56 win Saturday over Northwestern State.

The Razorbacks (9-1) fell behind 8-2 in the early minutes, but took control of the game with a 15-2 run featuring turnovers forced by their defense. Welsh contributed 6 of the 15 points in the run.

Arkansas forced 20 turnovers in the first half, scored 25 off the mistakes and built a 54-25 halftime lead. For the full game, the Razorbacks outscored Northwestern Louisiana 37-14 off turnovers.

Point guard Courtney Fortson scored 18 points and Marcus Britt added 15 for the Razorbacks, who won their seventh straight.
