Evansville made 50 percent of its field goals and was 3-5 in three pointers.
The score was close for much of the game, but Evansville started to pull away in the second period. The Purple Aces took the lead for good on a Holsinger three pointer with 11 minutes left.
Evansville's 9-2 record marks the team's best start in 14 years, when the team won nine of its first 11 games.
