CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Stephen Curry scored 29 points and Davidson survived a late rally to beat the College of Charleston 79-75 on Monday night.

The win was the Wildcats' 38th straight victory in the Southern Conference.

Curry and the Wildcats (9-2, 2-0) appeared to have this one locked up, ahead 77-65 with about four minutes left, but Charleston charged back with 10 straight points. Andrew Goudelock's driving bucket with 51 seconds left moved brought the score to 77-75.

Curry made one of his two foul shots with 17.5 second left to give the Cougars (10-2, 2-1) hope. But Goudelock's 3-point try was off the mark.

Curry made one more foul shot to seal the win.

Curry, the nation's leading scorer, added nine assists and seven rebounds for the Wildcats, who haven't lost to a conference foe since Appalachian State on Jan. 20, 2007.
