EUGENE, Ore. -- LeKendric Longmire scored 14 points and three other Oregon players reached double figures in an 86-74 win over Long Beach State on Monday.
Oregon opened the second half with a 16-2 run to take a 61-41 advantage with 15:13 left. Trailing 66-47 with 11:48 to play, the 49ers (5-7) employed a full-court press that rattled Oregon into turnovers on three straight possessions and sparked a 13-3 run.
But Tajuan Porter's 3-pointer restored Oregon's double-digit lead. The guard who struggled for much of the night then hit 6-of-6 from the foul line to help put the game away.
