EASTON, Pa. -- Will Holland scored 19 points and added six rebounds as Mount St. Mary's held on for a 67-62 win over Lafayette on Friday.
Jeremy Goode added 15 points and Jean Cajou 11 for Mount St. Mary's (5-8). Andrew Brown led Lafayette (4-9) with 16 points.The Mountaineers took a one-point lead into halftime despite shooting just 33 percent from the field, compared to 50 percent for Lafayette. They stretched the margin to 16 in the second before hanging on in a game that included eight lead changes.The Leopards made a 25-14 run in the final 9:19, but their comeback attempt fell short.Jared Mintz added 10 points for Lafayette, which had only two players score in double digits and had no fast-break points. Brown also had four assists, but turned the ball over seven times.Mount St. Mary's won it's second in a row after breaking a six-game losing streak Monday against Bryant.
