ORLANDO, Fla. -- Jermaine Taylor scored 21 of his 29 points in the second half as Central Florida pulled away late en route to a 70-57 victory over Holy Cross on Tuesday night.

Andrew Beinert's 3-pointer with 4:38 remaining in the game brought the Crusaders (5-10) to within 58-51, but Holy Cross couldn't get any closer. Taylor's 3-pointer with 3:47 left gave the Knights (10-4) their first double-digit lead of the evening at 63-53, and UCF ended the game on a 7-2 run.

Tony Davis finished with 16 points and five rebounds for the Knights, who won their fifth straight game, and Isaac Sosa added 10 points.

Andrew Keister led Holy Cross with 18 points, while R.J. Evans and Andrew Beinert each scored 14.

UCF took its first lead 17-15 on a slam dunk by Taylor with 9:03 remaining in the first half, and the Knights led 28-24 at halftime.
