Middle Tennessee 59, Florida Atlantic 57

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Demetrius Green's layup with 2.4 seconds left lifted Middle Tennessee to a 59-57 win over Florida Atlantic on Thursday night, helping the Blue Raiders stay undefeated in Sun Belt Conference play.

The Blue Raiders (10-5, 4-0) trailed for nearly the entire game before taking their first lead since the game's opening minutes on Montarrio Haddock's jumper, making it 55-53 with 2:14 left. The teams traded baskets from there until Haddock fouled Florida Atlantic's Paul Graham III, who hit two free throws to tie the game at 57 with 6 seconds to play.

That set up Green's shot, and Alex Tucker's potential game-winning 3-pointer didn't fall for the Owls (4-12, 0-4) at the buzzer.

Desmond Yates scored 20 points to lead the Blue Raiders, Haddock finished with 12 and Kevin Kanaskie added 10.

Graham led the Owls with 16 points.
