NEW YORK -- Devon Austin's floater under the basket with 1:12 remaining lifted Manhattan to a 73-67 victory over Marist on Friday night.
Antoine Pearson scored 20 points -- including four straight free throws down the stretch -- to lead the Jaspers (9-6, 3-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Austin finished with 13 points and Darryl Crawford had 12 points and nine rebounds.
Ryan Schneider had 21 points, shooting 5-for-10 on 3-pointers, for the Red Foxes (6-11, 2-3) who trailed by 10 points at halftime.
Marist trailed the entire game before R.J Hall's 3 tied it at 67 with 2:47 left. Manhattan scored the game's final six points to beat the Red Foxes at home for the eighth straight time, dating back to Jan. 22, 2002.
Manhattan shot 16-for-30 from the field in the first half but made just 9 of 25 after the break.
The Red Foxes shot 24-for-53, including 12-for-26 on 3s.
