Nick Leon had 25 points -- including three 3-pointers -- to lead the Peacocks (4-11, 1-4), while Ryan Bacon added 18 points.
The teams traded baskets early on, but Niagara closed the first half with a 21-8 run to take a 36-23 lead at the break. The Purple Eagles then led by as many as 18 points in the second half before the Peacocks rallied late and cut the lead to 60-55 on two free throws by Wesley Jenkins with 3:52 left to play.
St. Peter's would not get any closer, though, as the Peacocks missed four shots and Egemonye blocked two others in the closing minutes.
