FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Dee Bost scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half, and Mississippi State snapped Arkansas' 10-game winning streak with a 70-56 win over the Razorbacks on Saturday night.
Arkansas (12-2, 0-1) had surged into Southeastern Conference play with victories over Oklahoma and Texas, but the Razorbacks couldn't shoot well enough to keep pace in their league opener. The Hogs went 3-of-22 from 3-point range. Mississippi State was 11-of-27.
Michael Washington had 18 points and 15 rebounds for Arkansas.
The Razorbacks led 41-37 in the second half when Stewart made a three-pointer to start a 13-0 Mississippi State run.
The Bulldogs (11-5, 1-0) raced out to a 10-2 lead early and led 34-32 after a physical first half.
