HAMDEN, Conn. -- Bryan Geffen scored a career-high 24 points and James Feldeine added 17 as Quinnipiac defeated St. Francis, Pa., 65-58 on Saturday.
Justin Rutty added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Bobcats (7-8).
Marquis Ford scored 19 each for the Red Flash (4-11), but St. Francis went over 10 minutes without a field goal in the second half as Quinnipiac secured the lead.
Geffen scored 19 of his 24 points in the second half, which Quinnipiac had entered on the losing side of a 27-21 tally.
St. Francis went on a 13-0 run to take a 42-28 lead, but its offense failed to stop a 17-2 run by Quinnipiac as the Bobcats closed the gap to move ahead 45-44.
Geffen iced the game for Quinnipiac with a 3-pointer with 53.6 seconds left.
