LEXINGTON, Va. -- Seth Curry scored a career-high 35 points to lead Liberty to a 91-80 win over Virginia Military Institute on Saturday.

The win ended a 10-game winning streak for VMI.

The Flames (13-6, 4-3 Big South Conference) got 13 points from Curry during a 20-3 run in the first half, giving Liberty a 36-26 lead.

VMI (14-3, 6-1), which trailed 39-30 at halftime, never got closer as the Flames outrebounded the Keydets 48-30, and scored 17 points off of offensive rebounds.

Anthony Smith added 21 points and Kyle Ohman 16 for Liberty, which shot 53 percent from the field.

The Keydets were led by Austin Kenon with 19 points and Chavis Holmes with 17. The pair was a combined 13-for-35 from the field, and VMI finished at just 40 percent as a team.

Curry scored 20 points in the first half for Liberty.
