MACOMB, Ill. -- Robert Jarvis grabbed a game-high 20 points to lead Oral Roberts in a 64-54 win over Western Illinois Saturday night.
Marcus Lewis chipped in 13 points, five assists, seven rebounds and was 3-for-3 from the free-throw line for the Golden Eagles (Summit, 8-11, 6-1).
The Leathernecks (6-12, 3-4) had only one lead in game, 8-7, after a jumper by Rodney Williams Jr. at 15:29. But two field goals gave the Golden Eagles a three-point lead.
Josh Rivers hit a shot at 13:57 for the Leathernecks to tie the game 11-11 for the final time.
Oral Roberts led 34-28 at the half.
Western kept its deficit in the single digits until 4:37 when two free throws gave Oral Roberts an 11-point lead. The Golden Eagles had one more field goal, but were 5-of-10 from the free-throw line.
