RADFORD, Va. -- Austin Kenon scored 24 points, leading four Virginia Military players in double figures in an 87-72 win over Radford on Wednesday night.
Travis Holmes added 23 points,
Chavis Holmes had 19 and
Keith Gabriel finished with 13 for the Keydets (15-3, 7-1 Big South Conference). Kenon also hit seven 3-pointers.
Joey Lynch-Flohr led the Highlanders (9-10, 6-2) with 19 points, and
Kenny Thomas and
Chris McEachin scored 10 apiece.
Radford opened the game on a 13-0 run, but VMI answered with a 33-11 run from that point that secured an eight-point halftime lead.
The Highlanders outshot the Keydets from the field -- 55.6 percent (30 of 54) compared to a 40.9 mark (27 of 66) -- but hit 13 3-pointers en route to victory.
VMI was 20 of 27 on free throws, while Radford hit just 9 of 21.
