BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Cameron Wells scored 20 points, leading four of The Citadel's players in double figures in a 70-45 rout of Samford on Monday night.

Zach Urbanus added 16 points, Demetrius Nelson had 13 and Austin Dahn chipped in with 12 for The Citadel (11-10, 6-4 Southern Conference). John Brown grabbed 12 rebounds.

Andy King led Samford (10-9, 5-5) with 12 points and Bryan Friday had 10.

The Citadel shot 52.9 percent from the field (27 of 51) in the game compared to just a 31.9 percent mark (15 of 47) for Samford, and hit 12 of 25 3-pointers.

Samford hit just 6 of 32 from long range.

The Citadel jumped out to a 10 point halftime lead, and sealed the win by outscoring Samford 37-22 in the second half.
