MISSOULA, Mont. -- Anthony Johnson scored 15 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:40 remaining, to lead Montana to a 72-65 win over Portland State on Thursday night.
Kyle Sharp also finished with 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies (12-9, 6-3 Big Sky), who avenged a 72-45 loss to the Vikings on Dec. 20 in Portland.
Sharp scored 11 points before the break, including a dunk that cut Portland State's lead to 22-20 with 7:46 remaining in the half. The Vikings (15-6, 6-2) led 34-29 at the break.
Montana started the second half with a 16-4 run and led 61-56 after a basket by Sharp with 4:37 left. With the game tied 64-64, Johnson hit a 3-pointer from the left wing to give the Grizzlies the lead for good.
Jaimie Jones led the Vikings with 16 points, and
Phil Nelson finished with 14.
