BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Mike Evanovich scored 16 points and Greg Nero added 15 to lead Fairfield over Marist 68-63 Friday night in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.
The Stags (13-9, 6-5 MAAC) rallied from a 17-point first-half deficit to snap a three-game losing skid and hand Marist (7-16, 3-8) its fifth straight loss.
Ryan Schneider led the Red Foxes with 21 points and
R.J. Hall added 12.
Fairfield had four players in double figures despite missing three starters.
Yorel Hawkins had 14, and
Lyndon Jordan added a career-high 12 for the Stags.
Warren Edney and
Anthony Johnson are injured and senior guard
Jonathan Han is suspended for violating team policy.
After trailing 35-27 in the first half, the Stags outscored Marist 41-28 in the second. Fairfield sealed the win with Jordan's 3-pointer at the 2:39 mark, taking a 67-63 lead.
