Columbia 65, Brown 59

NEW YORK -- Patrick Foley triggered a decisive second-half spurt that lifted Columbia to a 65-59 victory over Brown on Saturday night, sending the Bears to their sixth loss in seven games.

After seven ties and 11 lead changes, Columbia (7-11, 2-2 Ivy League) finally took charge midway through the second half when Foley scored the first five points in an 11-2 run that made it 46-39 with 10:14 remaining.

Columbia extended the lead to 59-46 before the Bears closed within four with 2:41 left. But Foley then sank four free throws to seal the victory.

Jason Miller scored 14 points for the Lions, Niko Scott had 12 and Foley finished with 10.

Peter Sullivan led the Bears (6-12, 0-4) with 18 points, Adrian Williams had 12 and Scott Friske had 10.
