After Southeastern Louisiana (11-9, 4-3 Southland Conference) led 38-36 with 16:44 to play, Anatoly Bose hit a free throw and Fred Hunter connected on a jump shot to give Nicholls State a 39-38 lead with 14:57 left. The Lions wouldn't regain the lead again.The Colonels (10-10, 4-3) took a 49-42 lead with 10:37 left on Bose's two free throws. The was cut to 57-56 on a DeShawn Patterson 3-pointer for the Lions with 4:25 to play.Bose scored 14 points, going 11 of 14 from the free-throw line, and Hunter added 12 points for the Colonels.Southeastern Louisiana was led by Chris Cyprian, who scored 14 points. Damon Forest had 11.Nicholls State outrebounded the Lions 24-31 with Hunter and Kellan Carter grabbing six each.
