KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Chris Singletary and Tyree Evans scored 13 points apiece and Kent State pulled away in the second half of a 65-47 win over Western Michigan on Saturday.

Up 21-20 at halftime, the Golden Flashes (10-11, 3-4 Mid-American) shot 65 percent in the second half and led by double digits the rest of the way after Evans hit a 3-pointer with 11 minutes to go.

Al Fisher added 12 points and Julian Sullinger had 10 for Kent State, which made 13 of 14 free throws.

David Kool had 18 points and was the only player in double figures for the Broncos (7-13, 4-3). He also had the only two 3-pointers Western converted in 19 attempts.
