WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Alvin Abreu finished with 20 points as New Hampshire defeated Hartford, 62-55 Wednesday night in America East play.
Radar Onguetou chipped in 16 points and had nine rebounds for the Wildcats (9-12, 4-5). Michael Turner scored a game-high 22 points and had a team-high seven rebounds for Hartford (8-13, 3-6), and teammate Morgan Sabia had 10 points.
New Hampshire closed the first half on a 17-6 run and held a 32-26 advantage at the break. Hartford responded by opening the second half on a 13-4 run, and led 39-38 with 13 minutes to play.
The Wildcats were in control from that point on, but the Hawks were down by just a point with as little as 4:21 to play. New Hampshire then closed the game on a 12-4 run.
