Northwestern 75, Chicago St. 63

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Craig Moore scored 19 points and John Shurna added 18 points to lead Northwestern to a 75-63 win over Chicago State on Wednesday.

Fourteen of Shurna's points came in the second half, including four 3-pointers in the opening three minutes. Northwestern (13-7) led 37-31 at halftime.

The Wildcats sank 9-of-12 field goals after the break to open up a 60-39 lead.

Northwestern made 10 of its first 15 shots from the field, racing to a 28-18 lead. Moore scored 15 first-half points, including four 3-pointers.

Kevin Coble added 15 for Northwestern. Jeremy Nash had seven steals.

John Cantrell led Chicago State (12-12) with 29 points. The Cougars' David Holston, No. 3 in Division I scoring (26.4 ppg), had 22 points.

Northwestern held Holston to 2-for-10 from 3-point range.
