BATON ROUGE, La. -- Grant Maxey scored 18 points to lead Jackson State in a 67-55 win over Southern University on Monday night.

Darrion Griffin added 15 points and Jeremy Caldwell had 11 for the Tigers (10-13, 9-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who won their fifth straight game. The Tigers have also won nine of their last 10 games overall after starting the season with 12 losses in 13 contests.
