DEKALB, Ill. -- Al Fisher scored 21 points, including seven in extra time, to lead Kent State to a 86-83 double overtime win over Northern Illinois on Tuesday night.
Kent State (13-11, 6-4 Mid American) won a seesaw contest in which neither team led by more than five points.
The Golden Flashes led 79-76 with two seconds left in the first overtime but
Mike DiNunno hit a 3-pointer that forced the second overtime.
Kent State's
Mike McKee sank two free throws with 14 seconds left in the second half to send the game into extra time.
Chris Singletary scored 19 points,
Anthony Simpson had 16 points and 14 rebounds, and
Tyree Evans added 12 points for Kent State, which trailed 30-28 at the half.
DiNunno led the Huskies with 23 points.
Darion Anderson added 16 points and
Sean Kowal scored 10 points for Northern Illinois, which has lost six straight.
