HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Kyle Swanston and Pierre Curtis scored 15 points apiece to lead James Madison to a 76-67 win over William & Mary on Saturday night.
Curtis went 11-for-11 from the free throw line and added five rebounds for the Dukes (17-10, 9-6 Colonial Athletic Association). Juwann James scored 14, and Dazzmond Thornton chipped in with 13.With the score tied at 55-55 midway through the second half, the Dukes went on an 11-4 run to take a 66-59 lead on two free throws by Swanston with 2:07 left. Curtis shot 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the final two minutes to seal the game.Quinn McDowell scored 20 points to lead the Tribe (8-17, 3-12). David Schneider added 18 points.James Madison shot 50 percent from the field (21-for-42) and 82.4 percent from the free-throw line (28-for-34).
